Alexander Krasne, D.M.D.
Dr. Krasne is a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL. After attending the University of Florida in Gainesville where he received a Bachelor’s degree in History, he matriculated to Boston University Dental School graduating in May 2009. In school, Dr. Krasne commissioned with the United States Navy and was selected for their Health Professions Scholarhip. After completing school, Dr. Krasne went on to a one year post-doctoral training at Naval Health Center Great Lakes outside Chicago, IL earning an AEGD certificate in May 2010.
Dr. Krasne’s work experience has been varied, educational, and stimulating. As the Senior Dental Officer onboard an 844-foot long amphibious warship, Dr. Krasne treated 1,200 sailors and up to 2,000 embarked Marines. Further unique experiences included acting as Triage Officer after Japan’s devastating 2011 tsunamis, acting as the Presidential on-call dentist, and overall maintenance administration for essentially a small floating hospital. In San Diego, Dr. Krasne worked in both a large group practices treating Marine recruits and also as a solo practice dentist running at Point Loma Submarine Base. He was Honorably Discharged in November 2013.
Dr. Krasne has received extensive post-doctoral training in advanced operative dentistry, oral surgery, and CAD/CAM CEREC.
Dr. Krasne belongs to the San Diego Dental Society, California Dental Society, and ADA. In his free time, he enjoys reading, attending sporting events and travelling. His special passion is anything water related, as an avid fisherman, diver and sailor, Dr. Krasne loves spending time out in San Diego Bay.
